LOCK N TALK

Private calling. Nobody else on the line.

Lock N Talk is a closed-circle voice app with end-to-end encryption. You can only call people in your circle — and nobody outside it can call in.

STATUS: PRIVATE TESTING · PUBLIC LAUNCH SOON

How it works .

1

You get a number & a code

Every person is issued their own Lock N Talk number and a one-time activation code — personally, by the circle owner, or automatically with a subscription. Downloading the app by itself gives you nothing.

2

Your phone gets approved

Enter your number and code in the app. Your phone asks for approval, the owner approves it, and you're in. A new phone on your number always needs a fresh approval — a number is an address, not a password.

3

Call your circle

Tap a name, or dial their Lock N Talk number. The call is encrypted on your phone and decrypted only on theirs. Our server passes the call along — it can never listen in.

Security words .

Every call shows two security words on both phones, and the app can also speak them out loud. If both people see (or hear) the same two words, the call is truly private — nobody is sitting in the middle. If the words ever don't match, hang up.

An example pair. Yours are different on every call.

Answering from your lock screen? iPhone shows its own call screen, which can't display the words. Answer the call, unlock your phone, and open Lock N Talk — the words are waiting on the call screen inside the app.

What Lock N Talk never does .

The Founding 25 .

When public subscriptions open, the first 25 members get a second seat free: subscribe once at $19/month and bring a partner — two people on one plan, so nobody has to start with an empty circle.

Founding pairs keep the two-for-one deal for as long as their membership stays active. When the 25 are gone, they're gone — every subscription after that is a single seat.

Your email goes on a list kept on our own server — never sold, never shared, no third-party form service. We'll write once, when the doors open.

Questions .

Can the server listen to my calls?

No. The encryption keys are made on the phones and never leave them. The server only passes encrypted sound it cannot decode — the same reason the security words work.

Can I call someone who doesn't have Lock N Talk?

No — and that's deliberate. Both people must be members of a shared circle.

What does it cost?

Public subscriptions will be $19/month through the App Store when they open. The first 25 subscribers also get a free partner seat — see The Founding 25 above. People personally invited by a circle owner are covered by the owner and pay nothing.

I was invited. What do I do?

Install the app from the invite you received, enter the number and activation code you were given, and wait for your phone to be approved. Then make a test call.
